Garment Care
GARMENT CARE
Thoughtful clothing care keeps shape, color, and texture intact — and extends the life of your favorites.
UNIVERSAL CARE:
• Cold water preserves color and fiber strength
• Air drying extends garment life
• Steam > iron whenever possible
• Avoid over-washing — most pieces can be aired out
• Store thoughtfully (fold knits, hang structured pieces)
COTTON
Wash: Cold water, gentle cycle
Dry: Air dry or tumble dry low
Extra Tip: Cotton can shrink — avoid high heat. Remove promptly from dryer to prevent wrinkles.
LINEN
Wash: Cold, delicate cycle or hand wash
Dry: Air dry flat or hang
Extra Tip: Linen wrinkles naturally — steam instead of ironing for a softer, lived-in finish.
SILK
Wash: Hand wash cold or dry clean
Dry: Lay flat to dry, avoid wringing
Extra Tip: Use gentle detergent. Always steam lightly — never high heat.
WOOL
Wash: Hand wash cold or wool cycle
Dry: Lay flat on towel
Extra Tip: Never hang while wet — it will stretch. Store folded, not on hangers.
CASHMERE
Wash: Hand wash cold with cashmere-safe detergent
Dry: Lay flat
Extra Tip: Wash less often. Air out between wears and use a fabric comb for pilling.
DENIM
Wash: Turn inside out, cold water
Dry: Air dry to preserve shape
Extra Tip: Wash sparingly to maintain color and structure.
POLYESTER, NYLON, SPANDEX
Wash: Cold water, gentle cycle
Dry: Air dry
Extra Tip: Skip fabric softener — it can break down performance fibers.
LEATHER
Wash: Do not machine wash
Care: Spot clean + condition occasionally
Extra Tip: Store on structured hangers. Avoid prolonged sun exposure.
KNITS & DELICATES
Wash: Hand wash or use mesh bag on delicate
Dry: Lay flat
Extra Tip: Always reshape while damp.
